About us
Being from South Texas and growing up hunting on my Family Ranch, I always wanted a hunting dog. Watching other hunters bring their Labrador Retrievers on hunting trips only drew me closer to find one for myself. In 2019, after lots of research and talking to breeders I found a breeding that was planned and dropped a deposit. That is how I ended up with my first Labrador Retriever “Ollie Boy.” Needless to say, he created a passion I never knew I had and soon after I found myself committed to training, researching for new Dams and surrounding myself with other hunt dog enthusiast. That passion has grown into Down South Retrievers LLC, which is a kennel committed to sharing that experience to anyone looking for a hunting companion or a loving family dog.
